The Ohio Channel began taping for a new series to feature OHS curators telling interesting stories based on the fascinating and varied collections of the Ohio Historical Society. Brad Lepper, Curator of Archaeology, and I were the “guinea pigs” yesterday as we taped the first episodes. I discussed the Conway mastodon and the Ice Age while Brad talked about the use of obsidian by Ohio’s Hopewell culture. Future episodes will feature curators in all OHS disciplines and should make for an interesting and entertaining series. We’ll keep you posted as to when the programs will air!

Great Opportunity for OHS. Too bad I don’t get the Ohio Channel — or any other cable.

    • The Ohio Channel is distributed by Ohio’s PBS channels so should be available over the air on WOSU, Channel 34. But I’ll post particulars as it gets closer to airing the episodes.
